Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
In a significant breakthrough, the Ranka police of Garhwa district in Jharkhand have successfully apprehended Manoj Ram, a notorious Naxalite associated with JJMP (Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad). The arrest took place in Durjan village of the Ramkanda police station area, and the police recovered a substantial cache of modern weapons, including an INSAS rifle and a 315 bore rifle. Manoj Ram was actively involved in the encounter in Dhegura of Ranka, according to information shared by SP Deepak Pandey during a press conference held at the police line.
The operation to arrest the Naxalite was based on secret information indicating his presence in Durjan village with a weapon. Led by DSP Headquarters, a team conducted a successful raid resulting in the arrest. SP Deepak Pandey stated that Manoj Ram is a key member involved in the encounter and assured that all individuals associated with the incident will be arrested and brought to justice. He emphasized the police's commitment to providing full security for surveyors engaged in development work, urging them to report any information with guaranteed confidentiality. The recovered weapons from the arrested Naxalite include an INSAS rifle, INSAS rifle magazine, 5.56 mm caliber bullets, four 315 bore rifles, 315 bore magazines, 315 bore bullets, and additional weaponry.
